Enano CMS Project

User experience

[ + ]The page editor features a quick and easy interface that loads almost instantly, right on the page.

One of the main points during Enano's development was to ensure that every-day tasks are as easy as possible. We built on the familiar interface of MediaWiki and then took a step further and streamlined it all with AJAX. Dialogs and prompts in Enano were designed to be, at all costs, understandable, concise, and unobtrusive.

With Enano, you can edit pages with just one click. Since the editor uses dynamic HTML and AJAX to work, changing and saving pages is a quick and easy task. The upcoming draft system, already included in the pre-release 1.1.x series, automatically saves your work every 5 minutes or when you stop typing, so a browser crash will never cause you to lose a partially-edited page again.

Another example of this is Enano's login prompt. It's just a small part of the bigger picture, but administrators see it every time they need to change something in the administration panel. If entering a password is such a trivial step, why should it require loading a dedicated page?

The entire administration panel was built around a self-documenting user interface and settings pages all use a standardized two-column layout. We've paid attention to the details, and we know your eyes will enjoy the difference.

Your browser does not support CSS.

If you can see this text, it means that your browser does not support Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). CSS is a fundemental aspect of XHTML, and as a result it is becoming very widely adopted by websites, including this one. You should consider switching to a more modern web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera 9.

Because of this, there are a few minor issues that you may experience while browsing this site, not the least of which is some visual elements below that would normally be hidden in most browsers. Please excuse these minor inconveniences.
