About dandaman32

Hey, I'm Dan Fuhry. In the computer world I'm a software developer, server admin, and webmaster. I also enjoy biking, hiking, camping, and the great outdoors =).

I currently maintain 4 FOSS projects: the ExperienceUI, Component Manager, Enano, and Partly Modded phpBB. The ExperienceUI is a highly customizable user interface for NSIS that makes the installer window skinnable and provides your installer with some attitude and a couple of nice extra pages. Component Manager is also an NSIS project; it allows more efficient management of optional components, and it also provides CMPS, a platform that gives RPM-style package management to NSIS. Enano is the content management system that powers the website you're reading right now. It features a "wiki mode" and a wide set of AJAX-powered features. And Partly Modded phpBB (the name is a parody on Fully Modded phpBB) is a custom-made distribution of the phpBB forum software that adds several well-known mods, plus a very groovy custom theme.

I have extensive experience with NSIS, HTML, PHP, MySQL, and LAMP server administration, and I also know the basics of Python and Javascript. Eventually I want to tackle C or Java but that's a different story ;). My primary operating systems are openSuSE Linux and Fedora Core, I use Windows XP Professional as a backup for compatibility stuff like SimCity and RCT3.

I'm also a moderator on RGW-Net, and a Developer on FusionNerd, kudos to Neal Gompa and Manoj Maddali for those spots. And last but not least I run the Fuhry Kitchen Table, the website my family uses for chatting and hanging out.
