Cryptography restrictions
Enano uses cryptographic routines such as AES and MD5 to encrypt password and session keys, and the export of these functions may be limited in certain countries. However, it is believed that due to how common cryptography is for exporting passwords (it's used in Firefox, the Linux kernel, ...), Enano should be safe to install on servers in countries which have restrictions on cryptography. I am not a lawyer and this is not intended to be real legal advice. If you are in any way unsure of whether you are allowed to use Enano on your server, please contact a lawyer. The countries which are believed to be affected by these restrictions are:
- Belarus
- China
- India
- Israel
- Kazakhstan
- Mongolia
- Pakistan
- Russia
- Saudi Arabia
- Singapore
- Tunisia
- Venezuela
- Vietnam
